EXERCISES IN CLASS

For this class exercise, we need to use the provided footage to perform an editing task based on the steps in the After Effects tutorial video.

We used the "Keylight" cutout tool in After Effects to cut out the desired graphics, and then merged them together.

REFLECTIONS

This task was a unique experience, from brainstorming and discussing the plot, drawing storyboards, to filming and editing. I experienced the entire short video shooting process, and I think the most difficult challenge was how to shoot the desired shots and how to edit to achieve the desired effect, since the imagined and the finished product are completely different things.

Through this task, I also learned about the effort and hard work that every creator needs to put in, and that short video shooting is not as simple as imagined. I benefited greatly from this experience.
